The Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Center
Built through the generosity of Mr. Jeffrey Schwartz, a longstanding member of community and resident to Taiwan for more than 50 years. The most astonishing complex which spans 22,500 square feet is home to an upscale kosher restaurant, a 300-capacity ballroom, a Judaica museum, a synagogue, classrooms and a luxurious mikvah with a gold-leaf ceiling.

Originally from Israel, Rabbi Shlomi and Racheli moved to Taiwan in the summer of 2011 with their 1 year old twins, Mushi and Mendi.
“All beginnings are hard”, our sages taught us, and this was no exception.
With G-d’s help and guidance and thanks to the assistance of some very good people, a small community started to gather.

The seventh leader in the Chabad-Lubavitch dynasty, is considered to have been the most phenomenal Jewish personality of modern times. To hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of sympathizers and admirers around the world, he was — and still is, despite his passing — “the Rebbe,” undoubtedly, the one individual more than any other singularly responsible for stirring the conscience and spiritual awakening of world Jewry.
